The Silt Verses RPG

The Silt Verses RPG is a tabletop roleplaying game of folk horror and monstrous divinity, based on the hit podcast. It was written by Jason Cordova and Gabriel Robinson (of Glowing Roots Press), and published by The Gauntlet.

The Silt Verses RPG is driven by three competing forces: wild, but revered folk gods, the Bureau for the Investigation and Assimilation of Stray Deities, and The Institute, with its behind-the-scenes machinations. In layout, I sought to give each of these influences a distinct look. Different sections of the book are inspired by the layout of bibles and religious texts, government employee onboarding manuals, and confidential documents. Art by Ezra Rose is featured throughout.

The visual identity of each faction informed the handout design for The Silt Verses RPG, with character sheets tied to divinity, assignments coming from B.I.A.S.D., and the conspiracy sheet bearing the look of an Institute document. Each faith sheet has some visual touches that are a specific nod to the deity it describes.
